Professional Development

The ABC Young Leaders Professional Development Program is a six month program designed to provide a series of educational seminars, network opportunities, mentoring and community service projects for the developing young professional. This program serves as a launch pad for careers and will give you the tools to open the doors to a successful future. Making lifelong connections and building networks is the most valuable feature of this program.

The most valuable part of this program is getting to know others who are at the same stage of their career within the same industry. At networking events it's often rare to come across many young project managers who are willing to open up about their struggles regarding leadership and this program allowed us to be open and honest about social/emotional pitfalls.

Having gone through the ABC PDP program as a student last year, I can genuinely say it was a transformative experience. The Career Development reports provided such deep introspection—they validated what I subconsciously knew about myself and gave me a newfound confidence in my strengths. I also gained practical negotiation and communication tools that I use daily. I was fortunate to have had a fabulous mentor; someone I still keep in touch with and deeply respect. Being invited back as a mentor this year was an absolute honor. It's been inspiring to connect with the class members and witness the enthusiasm and talent they're bringing into the industry.
