What about Me? 3 Keys to Refilling Your Tank
As HR professionals, we put a great deal of time and energy into our work. We care about what we do and the impact it has, so we pour ourselves into our jobs and other people. Yet, we often forget the importance of investing in and taking care of ourselves, so we can continue to perform at a high level and have a sense of balance between life within and outside of work. The pressure to perform and to be “on” can take a toll on our health and wellbeing and compromise our ability to perform at our best. We ignore our body and the signals it sends us to slow down and recharge, which makes us more prone to illness and even burnout.
What would it look like if we approached our work and life differently? What would life look like if we took a proactive approach to investing in our health and wellbeing and making self-care a priority? We cannot serve from an empty vessel. We must intentionally design our lives instead of letting it happen by default. In this session, we’ll embrace parts of ourselves and our lives that deserve some attention and care and explore the business case and practical strategies for beating burnout at work. Join us for this inspiring and engaging session and feel empowered to design and balance your life.
In this session, attendees will:
- Identify the root causes of burnout and its impact on retention, engagement and performance
- Discover the three key areas of your life that need attention to build resilience and experience opportunities to practice them
- Explore practical strategies you can bring back to your workplace to foster more connection and less burnout
Rachel Druckenmiller is a catalyst who releases possibilities in people and in organizations. As a national recognized speaker, consultant and thought leader, she is the Director of Wellbeing for Alera Group, a national benefits consulting firm. In her work, she supports organizations to become employers of choice and earn recognition as top workplaces. With over a dozen years of experience in the wellbeing field, Rachel is on a mission to rehumanize the workplace, ignite authentic human connection, and foster thriving workplace cultures. She speaks at conferences to global audiences and has spoken to leaders representing a variety of industries, including engineering, construction, accounting, and human resources groups. She’s delivered trainings and workshops at Deloitte, Under Armour, and T. Rowe Price, among others.
