Apprenticeship is a combination of on-the-job training (OJT) and related classroom instruction under the supervision of a journey-level craft person or trade professional in which workers learn the practical and theoretical aspects of a highly skilled occupation. ABC provides apprenticeship training in the following trades: electric, plumbing, HVACR, carpentry, sheet metal, sprinkler fitting.

Apprenticeship Application Checklist
1. Fill Out the Online Application
You'll need to include:
- Name, address, email, phone, DOB, SSN
- Employer and job info
- Education level
- Transportation & training location
- How you heard about us
- Confirm your email after submitting!
Applications are being received and will be processed in mid-January.
Please make sure they are complete with all required documents.
2. Upload These Documents (You’ll Get a Link):
- Doctor's Note: Says you're fit to work in construction (signed & recent)
- Proof of Age: License, birth certificate, passport, etc.
- High School Diploma or GED
- Work Experience Letter: From employer, with duties & dates
- Apprentice License (if required): Get it at labor.maryland.gov/license

Trades List
Carpenters are one of the most versatile construction occupations, with workers usually doing many different tasks.
ElectricalElectricians install and maintain electrical power, communications, lighting, and control systems in homes, businesses, and factories.
HVACRHVAC mechanics and installers work on heating, ventilation, cooling, and refrigeration systems that control the temperature and air quality in buildings.
Pipe FittingPipe fitting involves installing, assembling, maintaining, and repairing piping systems that transport fluids and gases in residential, commercial, and industrial settings.
Plumbers install and repair pipes that carry liquids or gases to and in businesses, homes, and factories.
Sheet MetalSheet Metal workers fabricate or install products that are made from thin metal sheets, such as ducts used for heating and air conditioning.
Sprinkler FittingSprinkler fitters develop procedures, design and install systems to prevent fires from destroying structures.
