Project JumpStart is an 87-hour pre-apprenticeship training program that provides intensive classroom and hands-on training to Baltimore City residents every year. Our mission is to train low-income city residents to enter the building trades on a construction career track that will help them advance beyond the entry-level.

Project Jumpstart has the screening, training and placement expertise necessary for implementing a successful local hiring program and can be a valuable resource in meeting your company’s local hiring goals and mandates.

We know what it takes for a new employee to be successful on your construction site and hold our students to those same strict standards. Successful graduates have consistently demonstrated their aptitude and motivation for construction work. They have also been drug tested, completed OSHA 10 and are certified in First Aid/CPR.

Upon program completion, graduates are placed in construction jobs; ideally ones with potential for training and advancement.
For more information on the program or if you are looking for helpers, contact Kate McShane at 410-821-0351 ext 115.
