    This course, instructed by the Army Corp of Engineers, gives prospective QC Manager/Administrators the opportunity to satisfy the CQM-C training required for most USACE/NAVFAC construction contracts.

    32-Hour Backflow Certification

    The MD State Board of Plumbing requires the successful completion of an approved 32-hour Backflow Training Course as a pre-requisite for the Journey/Master Plumber exam. The course meets for three consecutive days from 7 am to 6 pm.

    It is critical to know the in’s and out’s of local & federal prevailing wage laws. Agencies have ramped up numbers of inspectors and are under orders to scrutinize your jobs and certified payroll reports. Learn ways to avoid these traps.

    Backflow Recertification

    Every three (3) years a certified backflow tester must recertify or lose their certification as a tester. The MD State Plumbing Board requires the successful completion of an approved 8-hour backflow recertification training to keep the certification and license current.

    Fire Alarm 101

    This is a series of straight forward nuts and bolts classes designed for electricians that install or work on fire alarm systems. The class is based on the NFPA 70 and the NEC code for the installation of fire alarm system conduit, wiring and installation of devices.

The Professional Development Program

The ABC Professional Development Program is designed to provide a series of educational programs, networks, mentoring and community service projects for the developing young professional. The individual will:

  • Further their leadership skills and professional development
  • Grow in their understanding and appreciation of the industry and the merit shop
  • Further their desire and ability to serve as a leader in the industry

The program will run through the course of one year where points will be earned for required sessions and also for additional ABC events, seminars, committee meetings or classes that a young professional attends.
