PROJECT OF THE YEAR AWARD
Each year during the Awards of Excellence program the project that has the highest number of total points receives an award for the Project of the Year in both the general and subcontractor categories.
General Contractor
For 2006 the award goes to a firm that incorporated new technology into a 19th century building. In fact, the construction team had to map out the existing structural elements in the absence of a copy of the original blueprint drawing. Now, that takes exemplary precision and expertise.
The Award goes to WCS Construction, the recipient of our General Contractor 2006 Project of the Year, for the Tremont Grand.
Subcontractor
This facility offers services to children who have suffered trauma related to child abuse and neglect. It is a diagnostic unit with five long-term treatment units for both children and their families.
2006 Project of the Year Subcontractor, L.H. Cranston & Sons, Inc. for St. Vincent’s Center Phase 2 & 3.
