What is ABC?
Associated Builders and Contractors, also known as "ABC", is a national non-profit construction trade association working to promote the interests of merit shop contractors. With over 23,000 members, ABC is the fastest growing trade association in the country.

"Call ABC First" - Before You Start the Next Project!
Are you in the process of soliciting construction professionals, general/primary contractors, or suppliers for upcoming building projects?
We'll assist you in determining which company or companies meet your specific needs. How does it work? Our members submit detailed information on their company, personnel, specific services, "uniqueness", and capabilities. Our staff then compiles that information into our "Contractors Referral Service" data base, indexed to sort that data on different criteria. When you call the ABC office with your request for potential construction partners, the information that the member has submitted will be transmitted to you, based on your specific selection criteria.
You may not have the time to review the past performance and capabilities of potential construction "partners" for your upcoming projects. Can you afford to take that risk?
ABC can simplify this process for you. In simple terms, the "Call ABC First" program is a resume service for you, the buyer, giving you basic information on a potential contractor's and/or professional's and/or supplier's background and capabilities.
In today's world of fast paced construction, it is critical that the "partners" you select are absolutely committed to quality and safety. How can you be sure that your partners have that commitment and dedication?
All members of Associated Builders and Contractors endorse a very strict "Code of Ethics", as presented in the first section of this manual, in their business practices. By selecting and ABC member as your construction partner, you are assured that you are selecting "the best of the best".
