...Maryland's program provides generous tax credits for businesses that "construct or rehabilitate a building that conforms to specific standard intended to save energy and to mitigate environmental impact."
To qualify a business must construct or rehabilitate a building located in Maryland with at least 20,000 sf of interior space that is:
(a) used primarily for non-residential purposes; or
(b) a residential, multi-family building with at least 12 units; or
(c) a combination of those two.
Participants must obtain an initial credit certificate from the and submit an eligibility certificate from a LEED-certified architect or engineer licensed in Maryland.
